My personal health goal was to eat vegetables at least 3-4 times a week. I started to stray off during the colder months where food was hard to find. Until now, I have eaten more vegetables than ever. I would sit at the dining table and stay away from the veggies. Although the foods I eat at home are slightly different, I can try to eat at least a handful every time we have vegetables at dinner.
I'm standing next to my mom watching her cook fried rice. Makes me think of how little I cook compared to baking home.
March 9 2016 The one thing that has made an impact on me so far is how the kids at my site know quite a bit about eating healthy. They might like some foods and others they may not like, but they seem to be alright in making their own food choices. Unlike most of our parents, these kids live in a world where there is more knowledge of being healthy. -March 1st 2016
