Share one EAT learning experience that has made a lasting impact on you. Explain
Okay, so I think an EART learning experience that has made impact would be the cooking to be honest. I mean the information is really useful but the cooking and making food with everyone is much more valued. While I cut foods or make a sauce or something it just feels really fun. With those experiences I now know that I enjoy cooking with people. Learning about the foods itself is interesting as well, it makes me think about more healthier choices and why that certain food is good for me. ( Even though I know something is not healthy I still eat it so....) -Cathy Hoang

Hello everyone! Its been awhile. Lately for this month I have been more focused on flossing. The reason for this is because My dentist says that I have some puffy gums and to fix that I need to floss more often. But, I don't really meet the requirements of my goal to 3 times day. ( Im a bad person I know) Though now I am making an effort. ( I feel like I say this way to often) I have not flossed today LOL, but I did yesterday. I am also trying to use salt water to try to kill the bacteria. As for exercise, I know for sure I have been weaker compared to last year. Probably because I have not been exercising extremely and in general I have been eating more and sometimes not at all. Since Spring is starting to come along, I am thinking of running outside or just jogging? Im not quite sure. I am still recording my exercise days and flossing days on my mini calendar. Right now, I need to figure out what I am going to do with my life. Wish me Luck!
I'll see everyone soon. Well this really isn't a question but, I'll answer this like a question anyways.
A way to discover whether or not any food preparation techniques we have introduced the kids has made an impact on their daily life is to just ask them. I asked about three kids and all of them said they do not cook at home. I guess it makes sense because they are quite young. Whats your favourite quote from one of the kids in your program?
"I can do this " - Nancy So at the time I was teaching Nancy to cut pita bread with a knife. She was having difficulty in cutting it, so after I showed her she told me that " I can do this". This shows that the Nancy actually listened to what I said and was willing to try it. She wanted to try the cut the bread without my help and so she did. Which was a good thing :^) |
