As the EAT Program is winding down, describe the extent of your personal health goal and what strategies you will use for yourself to maintain the role of consuming healthily in the ongoing future.
My personal goal was to get at least 8 hours of sleep or sleep before 12am and I think i managed to achieve it. The strategies i used was that I thought to myself, that i would be able work better an more effectively in the day time. I plan on continuing this goal by at least finishing my homework before 11am, because that was the entire reason why I stay up so late anyways haha.

How has your healthy goal setting changed/influenced you in how you plan + lead each eat session?
My answer for this question might not even be relevant to how I lead. However it might in some ways I suppose. My goal is to tey to get at least 7 hours of sleep which is going pretty well recently. I guess in a way it kind of influence how I plan and lead in EAT because if I dont get enough sleep, I wont have enough energy to last the day or do my daily activities so getting more sleep is important. Also when I look at how much energy the kids at the site have, it reminds me that I have to get more rest to be as energetic as they are. I think experience that made a lasting impact on me is actually going to the site and teaching the kids how to make the recipe. That is because I feel that when we go to the site, the kids are learning something new every week and they are having fun too. It also gives us leaders insight on what we need to improve on and etc. My daily goal, which was to sleep earlier, seems to be making slow but steady progress. Except yesterday when i got home from school I crashed (took a nap) for 3 hours. I ended up not being able to sleep until 3 am but I woke up at 10 today. So 3 + 7 = 10 hours of sleep, which is pretty good.
Daily Goal: I went to sleep at 12am last night, which is a vast improvement from the usually 1am. Hopefully this continues ✨✨ Question: "Come up with a strategy to discover whether or not any food prep techniques you inteoduced have been transferred to the participants daily life."
Last session, I worked with a kid named Sophia. We talked whiled she was working and I asked her a bunch of questions. While I'm not sure if any techniques have been incorporated into her daily life, she says that she helps out her mom with cooking and shopping. So yesterday I slept at 1am but I woke up at 11am which is 10 hours of sleep. Thats pretty good.
What was your favorite quote from your sessions and why? It was "Can I do that?" Because it tells me that the kids want to engage in the activity and do the preparation of their snack. So last night I slept at 12:15am instead of the usual 1am, a 45 minute improvement!!! Next time I'll try to sleep at 12am.
During the winter break, I slept at 3am everyday. What a time to be alive. But last night, I slept at 12:50am, a 10 minute improvement!!! Hooray. |
